How safe is rapidshare.com? Viruses etc.?

Sites like rapidshare megaupload sendspace all have disclaimers saying that they are not responsible for what you download...basicly you cannot control it....the sites themselves are safe but the material downloaded may not be....to my knowledge those kinds of sites provide and virus scan of any kind....chances of infection are really based on what it is you;re downloading....and finally yes you can get a virus from a disk image so beware....I find that the more popular something is the more likely it will be infecte3d with something,,,,,
