On false allegations?

do you think people who make false allegations should get the same sentence as someone who actually commits ? i think they should. there is this woman who had a royal marine husband and while he was in Afghanistan she had an affair with some dude, she got pregnant. so she made a false claim and the guy spend quite some time in jail i am not sure how that happened but anywhere it happened. so the guy's attorney found some Facebook conversations which explicitly revealed how the woman had planned their meeting. the was consensual and no force was applied to her. she was sentenced for two years in a state prison. now i think she certainly deserves more than just 2 years because she has ruined some poor guy's life and he has the duty of proving to everyone who he will meet that he didnt do it. so what are your opinions ?
